WHAT'S NEW?

Calligraphy for Concert Choir

On Tuesday, March 27th, San Ramon Valley High's Concert Choir put on its annual dessert show with both amazing solo acts and dessert buffet to follow. While the show's profits are typically put towards reducing tour funds, as every new year means a new trip either in or out of state, the country's recent events resulted in a different use for the money.

While there was the possibility of us traveling to Canada for tour, our amazing class officers agreed that this year, we would be traveling to Houston, Texas, to help those affected by Hurricane Harvy. They decided to further our philanthropic work by donating our Dessert Show proceeds to Santa Rosa High School in California, to help the students impacted by the California wildfires.

As part of the Decorations Committee, my contribution came in the form of these eight posters:

In a total of about three-and-a-half hours, from pencil drafts on index cards to large posters, the final eight coincided with our blue and orange theme in the Performing Arts Center and lobby better than expected. To more future project opportunities to come!
