Typography + Work = Best Combination
Thanks to my manager at Cool Tea Bar, I received the wonderful opportunity to update our store's chalk board wall this week. The last time I updated the wall was just after the store's grand opening in July of last year, so it was due for a taste of new art. After accommodating to customers, I brought out the back room stool and set to work on a creative addition. While this branches a bit from my typical style, I had fun bringing out a more colorful, varied set of fonts to the table.
BEFORE
Written on the very far left is "We Hope You Enjoy," with a beach umbrella, starfish, crab, and tea drink (as I went for a summer theme at the time). In the middle, my coworker, Strallia, wrote "Keep Calm and Boba On" and drew leaves to border the wall. On the far right, I went for a spring theme, as my other coworker, Shandi helped me with the flowers. Here's a secret: I wrote the "Boba Made Fresh" while Strallia took on the "Everyday".
AFTER
We decided to add in some bits of information on the drink's origins and different names, as a lot of people in the area were–or still are–unfamiliar with the specialized tea drinks we sell.
